We envisioned + created the day so that they could show up full of love, hope + happiness…with 20 of the most cherished people in their life. It was a day none of us will ever forget.

A few of those ‘Ok, so hey I’ve got this crazy idea…’ later and John, over at PGP Wedding Films and myself – Leeanne here at Luxe + Lovely Events, pulled together a dream team consisting of us along with Sherm’s Catering and Jen + Katie Photography.
We’re a group of longtime vendors friends (Friendors!) that you’ve come to love – with the same goal. We’ve partnered to create Intimate Micro Weddings Delaware a combined effort to continue to bring these intimate and equally lovely events to life and are offering our combined services at a fraction of our normal costs. Why? Because we care about you, love what we do and It’s our way to give back + create some Joie De Vivre – which, here at Luxe + Lovely Events, is our mission.

That being said, let’s get talking about our GIVEAWAY WEDDING!
We thought it would be wonderful to offer our first all inclusive package as a giveaway! So, here we are having launched an incredible intimate micro wedding giveaway a little over a month ago, on July 10, 2020.
What’s even more wonderful is that once some of our other friendors heard what we were up to, and they so generously offered their services as well! We sure do love our events + creative community here in Delaware + our relationships we’ve built along the way!
Together, we each partnered to create + give a once in a lifetime moment to a well deserving couple all complimentary. We received in so many submissions and ultimately had to make the choice (the REALLY tough choice) of only choosing one couple.
Caylee + Austin captivated us by writing these words in their submission:
“With so much uncertainly in the world, all we can rely on is love’.
…….and everything fell together p e r f e c t l y.
Instantly, we knew they were perfect for us. Caylee is a nurse working here in Delaware, at Christiana Care, and Austin works in the Automotive Industry. They both impactfully have been giving back so much to so many during the pandemic and we having the opportunity to give back something to them meant everything to all of us.
When I say everything fell together perfectly it did. Even despite needing to be on a solid plan C of the day due to an unofficial unforeseen monsoon on their wedding day. Readjusting was no easy undertaking, let me just tell you. But, like all things in life – you just have to just roll with the punches. We can only do what we can do with what we have. And, we all had SO MUCH LOVE to give and create together and years of experience in the events industry.
What a testament to love + a little bit of fate too, to bring us all together. We were l i v i n g their words beyond words.
For anyone reading this, I’m going to take the time to also mention the importance in hiring the right professionals for your day when it’s time. The ‘right professionals’ doesn’t mean that they were just the most affordable. They could be- and that would be great! But, also think about who they are. Meet with them. Trust your gut. The ones you feel like you’ve known forever and that they just ‘get you’ in an instant. Choose those ones.
You want people in your court, day of, and along the journey that are going to go that extra mile when you need it most.
We are more than vendors. We are the ones that are making your once in a lifetime moment incredible! We are the ones that will get a solid plan C together when plan A and B just aren’t feasible due to reasons out of our control – like a monsoon.
The question to ask yourself s: If it were to monsoon and so and so were in charge – Will that monsoon wash your day away OR will it just add in another layer of love. We’ll make sure it’s the latter.
Caylee and Austin’s words from their submission (which we had hand lettered signage made for their wedding b/c we loved it so much!) rang loudly. It’s all so true. If you have one takeaway as a wedding couple -read these words over and over. Nothing matters at the end of the day but the love. All the things are replaceable, but not love.
Our planned outdoor garden ceremony + reception turned indoor ceremony + outdoor – hurry before the sky opens up again – let’s grab the tap truck and cue the live entertainment -moments of incredibleness were b e y o n d words. The amount of love was absolutely immeasurable, and to be in a global pandemic during all of this no less – I think it’s safe to say this will be one for the books!

We teamed up for the giveaway, with the intention of giving some happiness to a deserving couple affected by COVID-19. We’ve all had to pivot a bit ourselves and instead of thinking of the negatives, we focus on all the good that still surrounds us…like the opportunity to partner and create beautiful Intimate Micro Weddings here in Delaware.
